BUD Program
Finding and accessing work is only the first step for the young people we work with. Our BUD Program aims to help them sustain and progress in their employment by keeping them focused, supported and motivated in their current job. Working in partnership with local businesses, we negotiate regular support sessions during their first 3 months in their new job and keep everything on track.
We work with the employer, ensuring that we provide a consistent approach to our mentoring, supporting the young person across all of the key skills required to be successful in the work place- from developing a rapport with their new co-workers to ensuring that they are confident to undertake their work with responsibility and focus. Giving them impartial support and advice from someone who is there for them increases sustainability and enhances the employability and economic success of your area.
OPEN Program
With similar methodologies to our BUD program, but designed to meet the needs of older (26+ years) clients, this takes into account the unique issues faced by older workers returning to the labor market. We offer the OPEN Program of mentoring and reflective learning for those who have entered a new job.
The OPEN Program is designed to offer 4 weeks of in-work support during a co-ordinated series of reflective face to face and over the phone meetings. The aim is to provide an impartial space for the new employee to share their experience but to be supported to make the right decisions to sustain their employment.
